Big Berkey unit/ canister/ housing 2.25 gal. Specifications for the Big Berkey System. Big Berkey size is ideal for 1-4 people for everyday use. Holds up to 2.25 gallons of water -Holds up to 4 filter elements total (compatible with many brands of gravity filters). Measurements: 8.5" in diameter x 19.25" in height. AISI 304 stainless steel construction. Up to 12,000 gallons per pair depending on the quality of the influent water.

The BOROUX foundation filters contain silver, an antimicrobial agent, to prevent microorganisms from degrading the product itself. This filter is not intended to filter microorganisms.
Fits most gravity-fed water filtration systems and fluoride filters. Scrub the BOROUX foundation filters every 3-6 months.
Using an abrasive scouring pad, carefully scrub the surface of the filters for several minutes. DO NOT use soap or detergents on the filters. Re-prime the filters, install, and perform the red dye test to ensure proper installation of the filters.
These systems are not intended to be used with filters that are out of compliance with FIFRA. BOROUX Filters ARE FIFRA compliant. This product is not intended to filter microorganisms.
